Certificate Description
The 15-credit hour certificate includes online courses related to literature, programs, and services for youth (birth to age 18). The certificate can be earned with an MLIS degree, a related master’s degree or as a post-master’s certificate for those holding an MLIS or master’s degree in a related field. Only 12 hours can be counted toward both the certificate and the MLIS degree.

After successfully completing the required coursework, students are required to complete an e-portfolio that includes assignment examples, reflection and course descriptions.

Yes, the program is available totally online. Students are not required to visit campus for an in-class lecture; however, an online lecture may be required by your instructor.
